Catholic Theologians & Campaigners will discuss the topics and the people excluded from the World Meeting of the Families in Dublin

Panel discussion and audience Q&A: 6.00 – 8.00 pm
The panel will address the controversial teachings and practices that have gone unchanged and unchallenged, including: the marginalization of women • the vilification of LGBT Catholics • the ongoing silencing of priests and theologians • the harm caused by the papal ban on contraception • the abuse scandal • the 8th amendment abortion debate
• Dr. Hille Haker: is the Richard McCormick, S. J. Chair of Moral Theology at Loyola University Chicago. She earned her doctorate at the University of Tübingen and is formerly Professor of Christian Ethics at Harvard Divinity School.
• Jamie Manson: is National Catholic Reporter. She received her Master of Divinity degree Changing the Questions: Explorations in Christian Ethics.
• Dr. Luca Badini: Democracy in the Christian Church and Catholic Scholars’ Statement on the Ethics of Using Contraceptives (2016).
• Tony Flannery: a broadcaster and Catholic commentator, joined the Redemptorists in 1964. He was suspended by the Vatican in 2012 for his views on priesthood and church reform. He is still forbidden to minister publicly.
• Dr. Gina Menzies: teaches bioethics in the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland. She holds a MSc in Healthcare and Law from RCSI, attended Trinity College and gained her Bachelor of Divinity in the Milltown Institute.
